2019: Indigo Expat proposes 2 new insurances for expatriates 

First of all, we are delighted to announce the launch of 2 new insurances for expatriates. The first one Indigo Expat OnePack intervenes on Top Up CFE. The second one, Indigo Expat WeCare is a 1st Euro insurance. I.e fully private.

Our partners for these new isurances for expatriates

Indigo Expat OnePack and Indigo Expat WeCare are insured by MFPrévoyance (MGEN IB / Groupe Vyv). The claim administration of our insurances for expatriates is managed by MSH International. Both companies are located, at least, in France and work with a continental Europe culture. Therefore, the way of managing claims is most of the time in line with expatriates’ cultural habits.

Please note that assistance repatriation, personal liability and individual accident are automatically included in the coverage.  These risks are covered by Tokio Marine. Tokio Marine also manage claims.

Who is eligible to these new insurances for expatriates

Eligible expatriates are: 

  • european citizens living and/or residing abroad,
  • non european citizens residing in a Member State of the European Union 

The expatriates must live outside his home country at least 6 months per year, to subscribe to one of these insurances for expatriates.

Indigo Expat insurances for expatriates: 4 zones

Expatriates can select the zone of cover between 4 zones of cover. Therefore, they can freely decide where they want to be covered. Indigo Expat insurances for expatriates (WeCare and OnePack) propose zones 1, 2, 3 & 4:

Outside your zone of cover, members are covered during 7 weeks in case of accident or unforseen illness.

The following countries of residence are excluded: Bahamas, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Russia.

Advantages of these insurances for expatriates

Please note the following advantages:

  • Maternity benefits are optional. Two adults must be covered under the Indigo Expat policy to select the option. Therefore, all those who do not need this benefit (singlae, younger or older coouples, etc) will no longer have to pay for it,
  • No surcharge apply in case of frequency payment. Expatriates have the free choice between semi annually, quarterly or monthly payment,
  • Expatriate subscribe to a pack which combines different insurers and claims administrator. This can be done through the Association law 1901 ACME. ACME means Association Coopération Mobility & Expatriation. ACME mutualizes members and risks, to propose the best conditions to all of them.
