According to Article 162 of the Moroccan insurance code, risks located in Morocco, people living in this territory, as well as associated responsibilities, must be covered by insurance contracts taken out with insurance and reinsurance companies approved in Morocco. This obligation is in force, unless you first obtain the agreement of ACAPS (Autorité de Controle des Assurances et de la Protection Sociale). Currently, the subscription of insurance contracts outside this legal framework is not possible, unless an exemption is granted by ACAPS.
