2019 conditions: technical results and cost containment
To avoid higher increase on premiums, we strongly recommand to our members:
- to be careful on practionners’ fees and hospitals,
- not to change their glasses every year (which is something we noticed once again; Allianz do not manage a limit on a 2 years period and we work on finding a solution),
- to use the social security or any other insurance before requiring any reimbursment from Indigo Expat.
Reminders
When a member moves from one country to another, this can impact conditions of his/her policy. The change will be considered at renewal. For example, a member who moves to the UK will be transferred to the Indigo Expat UK product if he/she is eligible. Otherwise, his/her policy will be cancelled.
If a member based in Germany moves to Singapore, the product and zone of coverage remain the same. Nevertheless, zone of premiums “Worldwide excluding USA / Singapore” apply at renewal date.
Please keep in mind that tax can apply in certain countries. Thses taxes will come on top of premiums. This is managed automatically by Allianz through their system. Therefore, pay attention to any change members could save in the system => example: a belgian member resides in South Africa but prefers to recieve mails in Belgium, at his/her parents’ address. Allianz will consider the address in Belgium and will apply a 9,25% tax on premiums (2018).
